What is the PHP designation?

The PHP designation is a national education-based certification program designed to recognize the high level of knowledge and professionalism among the designation holders. It is sponsored and overseen by the National Real Estate Investor’s Association, a non-profit trade association serving the real estate industry.

Why obtain the PHP designation?

Only persons completing the educational requirements will be permitted to hold themselves out to the public as a Professional Housing Provider. The designee will be recognized in the form of an award certificate, pin, and the right to use the designation. Investors will recognize that having an education in the topics outlines will increase their ability to achieve their goals in real estate investing. Completing the program will provide investors with a well-rounded education in real estate investing.

Furthermore, as National REIA works to increase the visibility of the PHP designation, individuals who have earned the certification will be viewed as more professional when dealing with legal and governmental bodies. It should also aid legislators to think of educated investors as a larger group for political action.

Earn Your Professional Housing Provider Certification
with North Metro REIA!

North Metro REIA is proud that a large portion of our educational seminars have been approved for individuals to earn credits towards obtaining the nationally acclaimed Professional Housing Provider Certification offered by The National Real Estate Investors Association (NaREIA), which is affiliated with North Metro REIA. To earn this certification, you must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours of education.  Certified classes will be a combination of Focus Groups, Main Meetings, Subgroups, and our new PHP 1st Thursday of the month training.

What will the cost be?

There is NO COST to Members that pre-register for our PHP 1st Thursday Meetings! Other costs are minimal.  The cost is $20 for non-members if you pre-register.  There is an additional charge of $10 for anyone that does not pre-register.  We only have room for 50 so it is important we have an accurate number and it is very possible we sell out.  There will be no additional charge for credits given at main meetings or subgroup meetings.  There may be additional charges if credits are offered at other venues but the cost is minimal.  Please keep in mind with the number of classes there will be many classes only available at the 1st Thursday PHP so planning is a must if you want to complete the course within the planned 2 years.

New PHP 1st Thursday of the month training at
Chattahoochee Technical College!

To accommodate the PHP program we have added an additional night of education every month in the same building and room that you attend our focus groups at our main meeting at 7 p.m. at Chattahoochee Technical College located at 5198 Ross Road, Acworth, Ga  30102, Building 400, Room 416/417.  This will be 2 hours of education similar to a college environment.  The format will strictly be education from our speaker.  We ask attendees to come prepared to learn.

How will I obtain these hours?

Any time a member attends qualified meeting in which they pre-register, your attendance is automatically recorded with your membership record in our accounting system.  If you are not a member or attend other meetings that carry PHP credit such as a focus group or sub group, you will receive a certificate telling you the hours and subject matter of the meeting. In order for this certificate to be valid, it must be fully filled out and signed by the teacher or administrator of the meeting.  Attendees must attend the entire event; no partial PHP credits can be awarded. Attendees are responsible for keeping track of PHP certificates (they cannot be replaced) and for tracking progress towards completion of the PHP courses. A tracking page can be downloaded using the link provided below. Once all courses have been completed, submit your PHP certificates at any North Metro REIA main meeting for verification of your award.  We will add the certificates you have with the online record of your attendance and process your award.
